Activities at Field House Care Home
The Activities Coordinators here at Field House are always keen to learn about residents' interests and hobbies, tailoring meaningful activities to the likes and dislikes of those we support. Our mission is to ignite the past, appeal to current interests and embrace new ones, improving quality of life whilst stimulating the mind and senses. Activities are carried out via small groups or individually, supported by local volunteers. We have access to a range of local community facilities and nearby places of interest, prompting community engagement, and hold special events at the home, where we are entertained by guest vocalists and performers, with 'The Quiz Master' being a fan favourite.
Caroline Davis
Hi, I'm Caroline and I joined Field House in 2021 from another Barchester home. I have worked in care for the last 30 years and a big part of that has been with Barchester.
Here at Field House, I organise a variety of activities and social events within the home and in the community, such as gardening club arts and crafts, weekly exercise sessions along with live singers and musicians every month. We are also keen on regular outings to local landmarks, museums, cafes and shopping centres.
In my job, I'm able to develop excellent relationships with residents and their families providing the support they need. I am very passionate about my job role as it is very important to us as a team that every individual is able to live the life they wish and feel fulfilled in their everyday activities maintaining past hobbies and finding new ones.

Life at Field House Care Home
Pumpkin Patch Picking
Residents went over to the local farm in Condover to choose their own pumpkins. Pumpkins were picked to carve and create Halloween spooks. Residents had a lot of fun and have already planned their next year trip here.
Employee of the Month - December
Congratulations to Care Assistant, Amanda Evans, who was named as Field House's Employee of the Month for December.
She was nominated because she is a good carer and very hardworking, is always helpful and has an eye for detail (every resident she supports always looks amazing); she is helpful, kind, patient, never rushes and always goes the extra mile to support residents.
Employee of the Month - November
Congratulations to Head of Care & Deputy Manager, Clare Murphy, who was named as November's Employee of the Month here at Field House.
Clare was nominated because of how quickly she took to her new management position, her hard work and the fact that she is always willing to help with tasks, no matter how big or how small.
Our Harvest Festival Open Day!
Our Harvest Festival themed Open Day on Saturday 7th October was a resounding success – enjoyed by residents, friends, family and staff alike with Sherry in plentiful supply! Our singer, Tom Wenlock, was a definite hit and the country market stall was also very popular. The hampers have been donated to our local community Mayfair Centre.
