Activities at Glebefields Care Home

Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Shire Mobility Demonstrations

Barchester Healthcare know the importance of supporting local business, many of our homes are located at the heart of the community and have the ability to offer a safe, warm and welcoming venue for small, private and social events.

Today we send a big THANK YOU to the Shire Mobility team from the Banbury store for joining us at Glebefields yesterday to showcase their products and services to our residents and guests.

Miles had fun demonstrating one of their personal mobility scooters. As he travelled through our corridors with ease, we learnt about the importance of finding the right solution for personal ability. There are many factors to consider, thankfully the Shire Mobility team provide a no obligation consultation service; in store at your home to find out more visit: https://shiremobility.co.uk/

Led by local Lay Minister; Lindy Bridgeman from St Peter Church, Drayton. We sang and gave praise to all the UK farmers and local growers across Banbury who work so hard all year round to provide us with home grown produce.

If Music Be the Food of Love...

"Music has the power to brighten our mood, reframe our perspective, and turn that frown upside down in no time flat."

What a fabulous day, full of swinging songs from Bill Tustain with his mixture of 50's to 70's music. Our residents and staff thoroughly enjoyed his show. We are happy to welcome him again to entertain our residents, A smile on their face means a lot to us.
