Activities at Hagley Place Care Home
Activities plays a big part in the care we deliver to residents; activities staff are committed to organising a mix of activities and events for residents and the local community to get involved in, including trips out to local places of interest in our minibus and visits from entertainers and musicians. It is important to us that each individual who we support can get as much from these as possible, so we try our best to arrange activities that reflect their interests and capabilities as best as possible, and encourage them to participate in any way they can. We also encourage relatives to join in with activities and events as often as they can.
Mandy Hayward
I have a long background in the care industry and love to incorporate the outdoors in my activities. This role is very special as it allows me the time to get to know our residents and their families in a deeply personal way.

Life at Hagley Place Care Home
25th anniversary celebrations
We had a wonderful time celebrating Barchester's 25th anniversary here at Hagley Place as we held an Open Day here at the home. There was lots of entertainment, delicious food and drink and a cake cutting ceremony.
Tea Dance Fun
Hagley Place was excited to welcome Hannah and Brian to perform songs for our tea dance! The music was fun and lively and a good time was had by all. Everyone joined in and we all loved indulging in the tea and cake.
Macmillan Coffee Morning
Residents of Hagley Place set to making cupcakes to raise money for the World's Biggest Coffee Morning. Baking and stories of home-cooked cakes were enjoyed by all!
The Shropshire Strummers
Hagley Place became a hot tropical island for the afternoon, with wonderful music from the ‘Shropshire Strummers’, who are a ukulele band. Residents enjoyed a tropical fruit platter after all of the singing and dancing.
Barchester in Bloom
We're proud to announce that Hagley Place has been named as a divisional winner in the 'Innovative Garden' category for the 2017 Barchester in Bloom competition. Well done to everyone who made this possible!
Card Making
Residents at Hagley enjoyed a relaxing afternoon making cards ready for our Christmas Fête. It was a lovely afternoon with everyone reminiscing about making cards for their parents and receiving handmade cards from their own children.
