Activities at Hall Park Care Home

Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Natasha is the Activities Coordinator here at Hall Park. Natasha really enjoys her job as no two days are ever the same. The life enrichment and daily activities program aims to provide stimulation for the mind, body and soul by engaging with residents daily.  We all love to use our imagination and here we encourage creative activities. We also have a minibus which is used weekly to take residents out to cafes, local beauty spots and day trips.

Life at Hall Park Care Home

Community gifts

Everyone at Hall Park care home would like to thank Doreen from Ravensworth Road Methodist Church, Bulwell for their kind donations of Christmas selections boxes and cards for all our residents.  You truly put a smile on everyone’s face with your kind offering!

Christmas day

All the residents at Hall Park sat down for Christmas dinner together as one big happy family. There was lots of singing and laughter.

Everett said ‘Christmas was better than he imagined it would be" he said he couldn’t of asked for more than he got, his dinner was beautiful, he fully enjoyed sitting around the table with everyone and laughing. Everyone had a fabulous day.

Snowflake Decoration Craft

Festive Christmas arts and crafts sessions are loved by most. Residents have agreed that the best art & craft session so far this year has been making paper snowflakes.

Resident Pauline said it feels like a simple, relaxing task and that she got much pleasure in making different shaped snowflakes as it reminded her of making the with her own children and Grandchildren.  We now have many decorative snowflakes adorning the home!

Home Made Christmas Wreaths

Residents took great pleasure in creating home made Christmas wreaths!

While making their beautiful creations everyone enjoyed a glass of sherry whilst singing along to Christmas Carols

Staff joined in, everyone thrived in the friendly, competitive nature of the day involving - Best Christmas Wreath!

Children Carolling

Crabtree Farm Primary School, Bulwell visited and sang their hearts out to many classic Carols such as ’12 Days to Christmas and ‘We Wish You a Merry Christmas’,

Residents absolutely loved listening to the children sing from the home’s ground floor lounge with doors open!  Children and teachers were at a safe distance in our garden, this did not affect the festivities or cheerful mood for anyone.  We are delighted the outdoor event was able to go ahead safely.

Magic of the Nutcracker

We experienced the magic of the Nutcracker with a special interactive workshop led by English National Ballet Associate Artists.

Our residents were able to take a magical journey thorough Edwardian London and to learn more about the enchanted Nutcracker characters: Clara, the Mouse King, and her valiant Nutcracker doll.   The session included a chair-based dance workshop, clips of the ballet on stage and a Christmas carol sing-along, truly enjoyed by all.
