Activities at Hall Park Care Home
Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!
Natasha Lindo
Natasha is the Activities Coordinator here at Hall Park. Natasha really enjoys her job as no two days are ever the same. The life enrichment and daily activities program aims to provide stimulation for the mind, body and soul by engaging with residents daily. We all love to use our imagination and here we encourage creative activities. We also have a minibus which is used weekly to take residents out to cafes, local beauty spots and day trips.

Life at Hall Park Care Home
The Astor's at Cliveden
Our residents came together to enjoy an exciting virtual talk courtesy of the team at National Trust Talks Service. The illustrated talk took us closer to one of Cliveden’s most famous families, the Astors. Our residents were able to discover what motivated William Waldorf Astor, America’s richest man, to purchase Cliveden in 1893 and how the estate became the centre of high society in the 1920 s and 30 s thanks to his son Waldorf and daughter in law Nancy Astor.
The Astors time at Cliveden came to an end in the 1960 s after the estate became infamously associated with Profumo Affair, but the house and garden continue to reflect their innovations and passions. We all had a brilliant time.
Walk through a landscape
We had a lovely time joining Holly and Marie-Therese from the Wallace Collection, for a virtual introduction to the Collection, followed by a sensory exploratory walk through one of the museum’s most famous landscape paintings. The Collection ranges from Old Master paintings to 18th century French furniture, arms and armour. We all had a wonderful time and cannot wait to put our creative skills to a test and paint some landscapes in the upcoming days.
My name is not Wigs!
We had a lovely time joining Angela Cobbin for a theatre-inspired virtual talk about her book ‘My Name is Not Wigs’. ‘My Name Is Not Wigs’ is the ultimate read for fans of witty behind-the-curtains memoirs, especially those with a penchant for the bright lights of stage and screen: tears and accolades aplenty!
Angela shared interesting facts with our residents about her book, her life and her experiences as a wig creator in London’s West End in celebration of World Theatre Day
Dazzling Orchids gifted to everyone courtesy - Waitrose
We were overjoyed to see a dazzling spectacle of colourful Orchids at the entrance to the care home today. Every resident and member of staff received an early Mother’s Day gift when Waitrose delivered One Hundred Orchid Plants!
Daughter of Resident, Joyce Brown and Fruit, Veg & Horticultural Specialist, Lynn Fleet for Waitrose, Nottingham contacted the home to arrange the kind gestures that were a wonderful surprise for everyone leading up to Mother’s day. Ryan Spencer – Team Manager and Lynn Fleet – Horticultural Specialist worked very hard in their roles to make the community engagement a huge success.
We are all absolutely thrilled and feel very lucky to receive the Mother’s Day gifts from Lynn Fleet and Ryan Spencer at Waitrose in the local community and we just want to say a huge thank you.
It feels like we have our own Orchid exhibition here, everywhere in the home is looking so beautiful, colourful and full of life for Spring-time.
International Women's Day
Happy International Women’s Day! In recognition of the day, we commemorated the wonderful achievements of women around the world and celebrated with themed activates and colourful flowers.
Our residents took part in discussions about the role of many different women who have shaped history from Cleopatra and Boudica to Florence Nightingale and Marie Curie right through to the Queen and Mrs Thatcher.
In the afternoon we all had a nail spa pamper with Natasha
A games & quiz afternoon in the Bar
We all enjoyed a fantastic and very sociable get together. We tested our knowledge with a fun "Oomph" music themed quiz followed by a good ole sing along in our very own bar lounge.
Activities Coordinator Natasha was acting "landlady" and served a wide variety of refreshments throughout the fun filled afternoon!
