Activities at Hall Park Care Home
Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!
Natasha Lindo
Natasha is the Activities Coordinator here at Hall Park. Natasha really enjoys her job as no two days are ever the same. The life enrichment and daily activities program aims to provide stimulation for the mind, body and soul by engaging with residents daily. We all love to use our imagination and here we encourage creative activities. We also have a minibus which is used weekly to take residents out to cafes, local beauty spots and day trips.

Life at Hall Park Care Home
Tripping the light fantastic!
Lighting up time got a whole new meaning at Barchester Hall Park care home as the community came together to see the home’s Christmas lights switched on for the very first time this Christmas. Staff and residents at Barchester’s Hall Park Care Home, in Bulwell, got in the Christmas spirit by inviting the community to come and join in with staff and residents who all gathered in the home’s garden for the occasion.
There was hot chocolate to keep everyone warm. The Christmas tree and all the lights looked amazing when Bulwell MP Alex Norris and residents Majorie Garlick, flicked the switch for the big reveal.
What a great day out!
Some of our residents have had a fantastic day out at Edwalton Manor care home.
Where we took part in their first carpet boules competition competing against other care homes, arranged by Ross, who comes to our home to provide exercise sessions.
Although our residents didn’t make it into the top 3 of winners. Everyone really enjoyed their time there and were treated like 5 star guest.
We would all like to thank Alice Kirkby, Matt Brown and Ross King for invited us to their beautiful care home and their great hospitality.
Also giving us the opportunity to have a caricature portrait drawn by Richard Ellis, which we all loved.
We’ve been tickled pink at Hall Park!
Staff and residents at Barchester’s Hall Park care home, celebrated Breast Cancer Awareness Month which is taking place throughout October.
During Breast Cancer Awareness Month, staff and residents at Hall Park care home spent time coming together to raise funds by wearing it pink, holding a pink-themed bake sale
Everyone enjoyed getting involved and showing their support.
Celebrating Black History Month
Our residents at Hall Park love to dance and what better way to celebrate ‘Black History Month’ with a dance session with our residents on Memory Lane.
Everyone got in full swing dancing to music from black artists such as Little Richard, Tutti Frutti and Let’s twist again.
Bulwell Riverside Community Choir
Everyone at Hall Park would like to send a big thank you to ‘Bulwell Riverside Community Choir’ for coming into the home and singing to our residents
Everyone fully enjoyed singing along to song like ABBA, Dancing Queen and in honour to Disney celebrating there 100th birthday they sang, 101 Dalmatians, Cruella De Vil which made our residents smile
World Mental Health Day
We celebrated World Mental Health Day in style this year by treating some of our residents to a spa experience with relaxing music.
Natasha and Fay gave the residents relaxing hand massages, as well as a make-up and nail care session for some of the ladies. We also did some facials, using our products donated from Julie and Ash, Daughter and Son-in-Law of our resident Pearl.
Resident Gwen said “it is the first time I have been given a facial, which was one of the best activities I've done at Hall Park” and she couldn’t stop laughing when we showed her the photo of herself with the bunny face mask on!
Natasha has agreed with the residents that she will do more spa activities in the future as she is a experienced Spa Therapist, and they all loved it so much.
