Activities at Hall Park Care Home
Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!
Natasha Lindo
Natasha is the Activities Coordinator here at Hall Park. Natasha really enjoys her job as no two days are ever the same. The life enrichment and daily activities program aims to provide stimulation for the mind, body and soul by engaging with residents daily. We all love to use our imagination and here we encourage creative activities. We also have a minibus which is used weekly to take residents out to cafes, local beauty spots and day trips.

Social outing for our residents!
Everyone at Hall Park would like to thank the staff and residents at Beechdale Manor Care Home for inviting our residents to their home for a social gathering and a quiz hosted by activities coordinator Jayne.
Everyone fully enjoyed their time spent at the home and getting to know the residents and can’t wait until their next visit.
Resident Glenda said “It was so nice to get out of the home and have a change of scenery while meeting new people, I’m so happy that this will be a monthly outing which means I have something to look forward too.
A flipping good Pancake Day!
Our residents at Hall Park enjoyed watching activities assistant Gareth making pancakes and they had a go at flipping and tossing them too, which was so much fun.
Our residents reminisced about how they loved making pancakes with their family and how some of the pancakes would end up on the floor and even on the ceiling.
Art session with Hugo

Some of our residents asked for our activities coordinator to organise an art class for them.
So we invited 8 year old Hugo to come in to do an art session
At the class, our eager residents learnt how to draw a teddy bear balloon with Hugo who give instructions and guiding them along the way.
Everyone enjoyed the chance to be creative and have fun in a relaxed and friendly environment.

Hugo is raising money for NEST Nephrotic Syndrome Trust, by selling his homemade cards which he draws himself and you can buy at Hall Park reception.
So far he has raised £37.77 by selling the cards at our home.
Home celebrate Year of the Dragon
Staff and residents at Barchester Hall Park Care Home in Bulwell, welcomed in the Year of the Dragon with a day of celebrations and activities.
Inspired by Chinese culture and traditions, lucky red envelopes were exchanged and the home was decorated with hanging red lanterns and paper dragons made with cut out of our resident’s hand. Residents learnt all about the traditions and superstitions of Chinese New Year. Head chef Charmaine Halladay cooked up an oriental feast for our residents to sample
Burns celebrations
Barchester Hall Park care home in Bulwell prepared a traditional Burns Night Supper to the tune of bagpipes and the fun continued well into the night.
Staff and residents at the home were involved in a number of activities learning the art of Scottish Country Dancing to mark the Scottish institution, including giving the time-honoured address to the ‘Great chieftain O’ the pudding race’ – the haggis.
General Manager, Jodie Rakhra, at Hall Park, thought it was a perfect occasion to celebrate an evening steeped in age-old tradition as well as getting in a spot of Scotch whisky tasting and reading a selection of Burns’ poems.
International Flower Day
Residents at Barchester Hall Park Care Home in Bulwell celebrated International Flower Day which took place on January 19th.
International Flower Day promotes the psychological boost that flowers can give to people. From growing and nurturing plants and flowers, to gifting flowers to show love and appreciation, and sometimes just the simple act of admiring their beauty – flowers have the power to make someone’s day.
