Activities at Hazel Lodge Care Home
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Hazel Lodge Care Home

A Little ray of Sunshine
When it's a bit murky outside it's always nice to bring a bit of sunshine and colour indoors to lift your mood .
Residents from our Chestnut community really enjoyed getting together to do some flower arranging and created some beautiful displays to have in their rooms and around the home.

103rd Birthday Celebrations
A huge Congratulations to our lovely Pat who recently celebrated her 103rd Birthday at Hazel Lodge .
Pat started her day with a wake up call from Battle's Town Crier who dressed in all his finery announced (very loudly ) warmest Birthday wishes for everyone to hear ! Pat was then presented with some beautiful flowers from our Mayor Cllr Andrew Barton , who spent time chatting and joking with Pat about all the things she's seen over the past 100 odd years .
We were so thrilled to be able to celebrate with this wonderful lady and her family.

Battle Poppy Appeal
Home Services Advisor Sharon recently had the absolute honour of volunteering for the Battle Poppy Appeal and spent the morning manning the Poppy stand outside Jempsons in Battle where the Battle Yarn Bombers have once again been busy with their amazing displays.
We are so proud to be able to support our local community , The Royal British Legion and our veterans.

Welcome Rikki
We are so pleased to welcome Rikki- Gene Bury to Hazel Lodge as the new General Manager . Rikki has been part of the Barchester team for several years looking after one of our sister homes in East Hoathly and brings with her a wealth of experience and passion for outstanding care .

Halloween at Hazel
We had a lovely visit from Claverham Community College students and we decided to do some pumpkin carving.
Residents love having the children around and be able to share their ideas and memories, it is truly remarkable seeing the interaction between different generations.
Here's the end result, children did beautifully, thank you for the amazing morning. Our residents were surprised with the focus and imagination of the youngsters, well done to all👏

Pampered Pets
We love it when our furry friends come to visit , this month we've had visits from bunnies , reptiles , guinea pigs and even a full size pig .
It is amazing to see how interested the residents are about each individual animal and what it likes and dislikes , even the scaly ones got just as much fuss as the cute and fluffy ones.
