Activities at Hazel Lodge Care Home

Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.

Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Visit Battle Abbey School

We were thrilled to have a visit from the children of Battle Abbey school, Carrol was so happy to be around them, it reminded her the time she used to drive children to school, back in the day.
The children did ever so well... we had amazing plays and poems beautifully read to us all. What a lovely morning, can't wait to have them back again.

Lovely Day Out at Birling Gap

We had a lovely day recently enjoying the September sunshine and taking in the views from Birling Gap . Our faithful Hazel Lodge minibus carried us up over the South Downs to Beachy Head and then back down through East Dean to stop off and enjoy a much deserved ice cream at Birling Gap .

Never too old to make new friends !

The joy of friendship and mischief making ...😁 A year ago these 3 lovely ladies had never met and now they chat over dinner , share a joke or two and really have become the best of friends .

RNLI Fundraising & Visit

What an absolute pleasure to have RNLI Hastings Lifeboat Station visiting us and talk about the wonderful job they do for the whole community. We also took this opportunity to present them with the amount collected from our Summer Fete which was over £400. A massive thank you to you all.

Summer Fete

The event was opened by Battle’s Mayor Cllr Dr Andrew Barton who spent time chatting to residents, visitors and stall holders.  The afternoon started with live music from local crooner Steve Dunnett followed by a Punch and Judy show and entertainment from children’s entertainer Crazee Hazee. There were a variety of local stallholders selling homemade crafts and produce and even a chance to win a cuddly toy on the ‘Hook a Duck’.

Staff at Hazel Lodge made everyone feel welcome and were delighted to see different generations having fun together. Visitors enjoyed burgers, hot dogs and a delicious selection of homemade cakes and drinks, prepared by the team, who were hard at work making sure that a great time was had by all!
Over £400 was raised on the day with all proceeds going to Hastings RNLI.
