Activities at Hempton Field Care Home
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Life at Hempton Field Care Home
Medical Detection Dog Special Visit!
We were so lucky to receive a visit from Fred and Karen from Medical Detection Dogs today. They gave as a really enjoyable insight into the training that goes into the dogs and the type of support they can provide us in highlighting diseases earlier to seek the right type of help.
A huge thank you to Viking the black Labrador for coming as well, and providing some huge smiles and entertainment for us. We love having animals in the home, but it was just as important to learn everything that the team do at Medical Detection Dogs.
Exercise with a twist!
Every week we take part in a dance exercise class in the home, to ensure we keep active and keep the body and brain moving.
This week we decided to add some colourful pompoms into the mix, using them with our hand's and arms along with the music which everybody enjoyed.
Tuesday are Quiz Days!
Tuesday's are Quiz Days!!
Every Tuesday afternoon we gather together to take part in a themed quiz held by the team at Hempton Field. These can be individual quizzes or even in teams with the staff which is great fun!
If anybody would like to put forward some quizzes for us and come in and take part one afternoon let us know!
Pudding Club Launch
We had an amazing afternoon at the launch of our new Pudding Club here at Hempton Field. Pudding club will run monthly in the home, and we invite everyone to join us to taste some delicious treats. This month we explored everything Summer for deserts, with some homemade puddings and even a took a resident down memory lane as she used to bake summer puddings on a regular basis.
Pub Lunch
This week we enjoyed a pub lunch over in Aylesbury after a walk around town and a spot of shopping.
Tours of local attractions, shopping trips, pub lunches and museum visits are just a few of the sort of outings that we enjoy on a regular basis at Hempton Field.
Living at Hempton Field means support to continue doing the things you love, and if that means a pint on a Sunday then that's what it means! Our life enrichment program is designed to ensure residents continue with lifelong hobbies as well as explore new adventures.
Garden Club
We have some very talented people living at Hempton Field! Look at these stunning flower and garden arrangements we spent time on. Cant wait to see them flourish in a garden and home!
