Activities at Hethersett Hall Care Home
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.
Activities, hobbies and interests make up the most important part of our days and who we are as people. We provide a varied activities programme that reflects the interests and capabilities of all the individuals we support. All of the group and individual activities are designed to not only mentally and physically stimulate the people we care for, but to enhance their life skills and feelings of purpose and self-worth. We achieve this through a constantly updated activities programme and one-to-one sessions with residents that are tailored to suit individuals needs. We also offer a range of outings in our mini-bus.

Caroline Evans
Hi, I’m Caroline Evans and I’ve been at Hethersett Hall for 7 years now and been in the care sector for 13 years and believed it was time for a change in my career at Barchester.
I’m extremely motivated for my new role as activities coordinator. I hope I will bring joy and fun to everyone’s daily lives. I am a highly active and bubbly person. Looking after other people has always been my priority and I will do my best every day to make sure everyone is happy, safe and smiling.
I look forward to meeting you and hope you will all join in the events and activities that I will bring to Hethersett Hall.

Life at Hethersett Hall Care Home

Coronation Donation
We had a lovely surprise recently when Wymondham Garden Centre donated a beautiful pink blossom tree to Hethersett Hall for the Kings Coronation.
Our residents were thrilled to receive it and watch it being planted in pride of place at the front of the hall.
Thank you again to Aaron Seekings for delivering it to us,amazing!

Happy 100!
One of our residents recently turned 100 years young.
It was full day of celebrations, with the morning starting by taking a trip to her local church with one of the birthday cakes (yes there were multiple cakes), to begin the day with a birthday coffee and chat with Julians Church and Methodist friends.
Then on her return they gathered in the library for a buffet lunch and another cake (you can never have too much!)
Julian enjoyed her day especially spending it with loved ones, and the birthday card from our new king topped it off!
Happy Birthday Julian!

Coronation Celebrations and VE Day
Our residents had a right royal knees up over the weekend as we celebrated the 1st Coronation in 70 years!
We drank themed cocktails (King Charles was the favourite of course), waved flags and hankies as the King and Queen were crowned and the parades marched past on tv.
Then we sang our hearts out with the 1940’s tribute Charlene Jean who looked the part as well as having a fantastic voice.
It was weekend to remember!

The Green Team
Hethersett has a monthly litter pick which we joined in with recently, we met at the Methodist church bearing all sorts of goodies to keep people hydrated and ready to go!
After picking our route we were off to help out the community, I must say that Hethersett is incredibly clean, we didn't find a lot although it was nice to be out in the sun and chatting to members of the village.

Happy 100 years young!!

Visit to see the Coronation themed flower arrangements
We took a couple of our green fingered residents to see the fabulous arrangement of Coronation themed flowers at our local church St Remigius made by volunteers in Hethersett.
There were some amazing displays, including Buckingham Palace and Balmoral. Here we are standing in the Highgrove garden arrangement.
Afterwards we had a sit down with a cup of tea and perused the amazing selection of homemade cakes on display which obviously we had to taste.
