Activities at Hilton Park Care Home

Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Jenelyn Szabo

Activity Coordinator

Hello, my name is Jenelyn and I am the head of activities here at Hilton Park.

Having started my Barchester journey as a carer back in 2019, I have gained good experience of working closely with our residents. After being a carer I then moved onto the Activities team and thoroughly enjoyed working as an Activities co-ordinator, which led to my promotion to Activity Lead.

Nothing makes me happier than seeing the smiles on our residents faces.

Easter Celebrations

We had an absolutely fantastic day here at Hilton Park with our residents, families, friends and staff. Everyone loved the live music by Elvis, and the farmyard animals, particularly Alfie The Therapy Horse and his friends, petting corner were a hit with the kids who enjoyed stroking and carrying them, as well as hunting for eggs. After the garden party, Alfie even visited individuals to say hello! Our chef Camelia made a delicious homemade Easter Cake, and we also had hotdogs for everyone to enjoy.

Happy Birthday Lillian

Today, we had the honor of celebrating the 95th birthday of Lilian, one of our cherished residents. The color pink, Lilian's favourite, set the tone for the joyous occasion. She was surrounded by her loving family, and our residents and staff all came together to share in the celebration. The event was made even more special with live music by Boots 'n' Strings, which lifted our mood and added to the overall sense of happiness and delight. We would like to wish Lilian a very happy birthday from all of us here at Hilton Park.

Happy Birthday to the wonderful Jacqui!

We had an incredible day at Hilton Park, filled with joy and celebration. Our lovely resident, Jacqui, treated us to a stunning live music performance that left everyone - from her adoring daughter to special guests from the Women's Institute, residents, families, and staff - smiling from ear to ear. The atmosphere was absolutely buzzing, and we couldn't get enough!

Today marked a double celebration as Theresa reached her retirement age, and we couldn't be happier for her! The lively music from "Somethin Else" kept us dancing and singing along, and our spirits were lifted beyond measure. From all of us here at Hilton Park, we want to wish Jacqui and Theresa the happiest of birthdays. Thank you for making this day unforgettable.

Happy Birthday John!!

Today, our dear resident John celebrated his special day surrounded by his beloved family. It was heartwarming to see the joy on his face as he spent time with his grandchildren, who were delighted by the amazing magician organized by his loving son.

We would like to extend our warmest wishes to John for a truly happy birthday. May your day be filled with love, laughter, and all the things that bring you happiness. From all of us here at Hilton Park, we hope your special day is as wonderful as you are!

Happy Mothers Day

Happy Mother's Day!!

On this special occasion, we joyfully celebrated Mother's Day with live music performed by the talented Liz Monroe. We indulged in scrumptious cakes, aromatic tea and coffee, and the finest white and red wine while enjoying a delicious selection of fruits. We also held an exciting raffle to further enhance the festivities. As we recognize the significance of this day, our aim was to create a memorable experience for each and every one of our guests. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the families who joined us today and to Emma, our dedicated volunteer who helped ensure everything ran smoothly.

Making Dreams come true

Betty's dream came true today. Accompanied by her wonderful fellow residents, Monica and Jaqui, we journeyed to Ely Cathedral. Betty was filled with tales and memories of this beautiful place, and she couldn't wait to sit down at the grand piano once more.
