Activities at Hilton Park Care Home
Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Hello, my name is Jenelyn and I am the head of activities here at Hilton Park.
Having started my Barchester journey as a carer back in 2019, I have gained good experience of working closely with our residents. After being a carer I then moved onto the Activities team and thoroughly enjoyed working as an Activities co-ordinator, which led to my promotion to Activity Lead.
Nothing makes me happier than seeing the smiles on our residents faces.

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Hilton Park Care Home
The great cake bake-off
Yesterday was a very busy and thoroughly enjoyable day at Hilton Park.
Inspired by our recent pudding club, the residents spent the morning testing their culinary skills and baked their own cakes. We followed this with a lovely summery walk around our glorious grounds.
The real treat came in the afternoon however as the residents got to eat the cakes that they had spent the morning expertly making.
A good day all round, we would say!!!
A grand day out
We made the most of the glorious weather this weekend by taking our residents from the Churchill Community out on a day trip.
We started out by going to Anglesey Abbey and Gardens and then followed this up by visiting Lode Mill in Bottisham.
The residents had a great time and we very much look forward to the our next visit.
Hilton Park's got talent
It was time to get our artistic heads on yesterday as we had a painting and colouring afternoon at Hilton Park.
It never ceases to amaze us as to how creative our residents are and once again the talent within the room was there for all to see.
The Singing Gardener comes to Hilton Park
We had a lovely afternoon with our residents as we sang the afternoon away with The Singing Gardener - Amanda Scott. Amanda treated the residents to her full catalogue of classics.
We always enjoy having Amanda come to Hilton Park and we very much look forward to welcoming her back to Hilton Park in the very near future.
Animal Magic
Back by popular demand at Hilton Park was Michelle's Animal Therapy & Petting Party.
The residents absolutely love having cuddle time with the animals and we simply couldn't say no!!
There was a wide range of animals from the cute and furry to the long and scaly and everyone one of them made for an amazing experience for our residents.
We had the best afternoon and our doors will always be open for Michelle and the animals.
A glorious Summer's Day
We had an absolutely glorious day yesterday both in the home and also out in the community.
We started the day with our monthly coffee morning at the All Saints Church in Newmarket and then in the afternoon we made the most of the weather by having a game of Boules in the garden.
Another great day at Hilton Park.
Upcoming events
Christmas Fete
Come along to Hilton Park for a festive afternoon of carols with The Banjo Man and United Christian Church Choir. Festive treats will also be available for all.
