Activities at Hollyfields Care Home
Our Activities programme is formulated using resident requests and feedback from resident meetings. Residents are involved in planning the programme with things they they would like to do throughout the year. There is a mixture of activities that take place including both group and 1-1 engagement. Residents at Hollyfields particularly enjoy movement to music activities enabling them to increase their level of physical abilities and have fun at the same time, whilst others enjoy musical singalongs and food based activities throughout the week.
We have a mini bus that enables us to reconnect our residents with their community in ways that suite themselves as individuals. This can be achieved by visiting local farms, Georgian towns, local attractions and even the local public house for lunch with friends. Hollyfields have a great relationship with their local community and have visits from local organisations such as The Wyre Community Land Trust and are currently undertaking a 12 week funded project from Arts Etc. Residents at Hollyfields enjoy Pet Therapy visits from their pet rabbit 'Thumper' and like to help clean and feed him daily. Relatives can be encouraged to join us for activities and again are very supportive with delivering theme days and fundraising events within the home.
Kayleigh White
Kayleigh joined the Hollyfields care team in February 2021. She's a a very conscientious young lady, who is passionate about the wellbeing of all our residents.

Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Hollyfields Care Home
Pottery Painting
Pottery painting classes at Hollyfields saw residents of all abilities join in with painting porcelain light houses to be displayed in our beach section of the home.
Silent Disco
Residents at Hollyfields enjoyed their first silent disco. They wore headphones and we played their favourite music, which loved ones had put on to SD cards for them. As you can see from the above image, it brought them great joy.
Remembrance Day
During November 110 school children visited Hollyfields to recite poetry and sing wartime songs to mark Remembrance Day. The children later met the residents and game them their own homemade poppies to keep.
ABBA
Residents were treated to a very special afternoon to celebrate Hazel’s 60th Birthday. Hazel and all her friends were joined by none other than ABBA Tribute act, Rebjorn Again. Hazel had a fantastic time and loved meeting her favourite singers of all time.
Christmas Wreath
A local florist shop donated a huge Christmas wreath to residents at Hollyfields this year for them to decorate as part of a festive activity. Thank you to Bewdley Blooms!
Worcestershire Homeless Appeal
Staff and relatives at Hollyfields collected food to be donated to the Worcestershire Homeless Appeal. The project saw the team cook up a fantastic Christmas lunch for the homeless in and around Worcestershire, catering for around 80 guests.
