Activities at Hunters Care Home
Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Hello I am Ben and I am the Activities Coordinator at Hunters. I started working at Hunters as part of the hospitality team, but when a vacancy came up on the activities team I jumped at the opportunity. I have seen how important a varied activities programme is and the team ensure we offer something for everyone including regular past times.

Summer Solstice Perfect Weather
What a glorious day, Hunters' residents have been enjoying the sun in every way; drinks in the courtyard, reading the paper outside, lots of chatting and soaking up the rays. A perfect way to spend the summer solstice.
Father's Day Heroes
Hunters celebrated all our gentleman residents, presenting them each with a box of Heroes. We are thankful for all the heroes we call Father, Grandad, Daddy, Papa, Grandfather, Dad, Uncle and Brother.
Celebrating Carers Week and a Special Birthday
We celebrated our lovely Ali's Birthday from our Activities team 60's Style! It was such fun combined with a special thank you to all our amazing carers for all their valued dedication and hard work.
Happy Hour!
Hunters’ residents enjoyed a Cocktail and Mocktail hour whilst enjoying coverage of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. This weekend has been relaxing with family visits and we have also enjoyed the Derby and a Royal Quiz!
Hunters Celebrate Queen's Platinum Jubilee in Style
Hunters celebrated the Jubilee in style today, we had a fabulous day. Residents enjoyed a barbeque lunch, they then joined family and friends for a fun filled afternoon. Everyone enjoyed the live singing, afternoon tea and ice creams as well as meeting the visiting donkeys. It was a perfect afternoon with loved ones to mark this momentous occasion.
A big thank you to the Hunters team who made this event possible, your hard work was so appreciated.
Afternoon Drinks at a Local Pub
You’re never too old to dream. We spotted this rather nice Ferrari on an afternoon trip to the pub. The residents enjoyed a cold drink on a lovely warm afternoon sat in the shade watching the world go by, perfect.
