Activities at Iddenshall Hall Care Home
Activities here at Iddenshall Hall are an integral part of every day life for each of our residents. We strive to include as many of our residents as possible with the activities schedule. Our Schedule is released monthly and includes activities such as poetry afternoons, indoor games, Bingo, flower arranging, pamper days, quizzes, exercises, various musicians and entertainers, Pat Dog Visits, Music Therapy, discussion groups and trips out in our minibus to local places of interest and further afield to see the Blackpool Lights or to Knowsley Safari Park.
We are constantly asking the people who live in our home which events they would like to see taking place and we endeavor to fulfill these requests. Our aim is to provide a varied and packed schedule which allows for a vast array of skill bases and capabilities. We are in constant contact with local groups and businesses, the local Beaver Scout group are always happy to pay a visit to our home, helping with the garden or coming at Christmas to sing carols for us. We also have a small group of volunteers to help us, including pupils from our local 6th form College who visit once a week.
All the above helps ensure the lives of our Residents are fun and fulfilled.

I have a Degree in Social Integration, a Certificate in Theatrical Psychology and a Music Therapy certificate. In the past I have worked for local authorities and in a cerebral palsy home.

Life at Iddenshall Hall Care Home
Christmas Dinner
Residents were treated to a lovely Christmas dinner with all the trimmings, crackers and plenty of festive tipples. The party hats were out and we served Prosecco with the meal, as well as cocktails in the lounge afterwards, all whilst enjoying some Christmas musical entertainment.
Christmas Pamper Day
We opened our salon doors for a special Christmas pamper day. Residents from both Beeston View and Iddenshall Hall were able to attend. They had both their hair and nails done ready for our festive celebrations. It was a lovely experience for them!
Christmas Performance
The nephew of a resident came to perform for us over the Christmas period. Miles played his clarinet for us and we were able to sing along to his festive-themed show. We all sang Christmas carols whilst indulging in a Christmas tipple or two.
Meeting Santa
As always, Santa came to visit the residents at Iddenshall Hall to make sure that they all had a gift and a card. They loved seeing him and many of them tried to guess who was behind the beard.
We want to say a massive thank you to George, who comes to us every year to make sure residents get to see Father Christmas.
Keeping Fit
Our friend Andy from Ride joined us again to host some exercise sessions in December. He always does one class at Iddenshall Hall and then another at Beeston View, so all residents have the opportunity to join in with his enthusiastic activities. Andy is always a big hit with the ladies!
Saturday Salon
We had the first session of our new 'Saturday Salon'. We will be open most Saturdays from now on, so that residents can enjoy a proper salon experience. Residents' loved ones can also take advantage of this for a small donation towards the residents' fund. It has been an enjoyable and successful first day in the Salon.
