Activities at Kenwyn Care Home
Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Chloe Alcock
Chloe loves bringing creativity into our home and making our residents smile. Whether she's engaging residents with her artistic flair or simply brightening their day, Chloe is always finding ways to connect with those around her.
When she’s not at work, you’ll find her cozy under her favourite blanket with a cup of tea, crocheting or playing video games.
Chloe has a passion for animal care which led her to volunteer at Shepreth Wildlife Park, where she worked with red pandas, lemurs, and coatis. She’s also an award-winning artist, having earned the Royston Art Society’s Young Artist Award, and studied Game Art at Falmouth University, She brings a wealth of creativity and skills to our residents.
Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies

January's New Beginnings
January symbolises fresh starts, and what better way to embody this than through the creativity of butterflies and nature. Our residents had a wonderful time expressing themselves through art this week and creating beautiful representations of new thoughts and ideas for the new year ahead. Creative art is a wonderful way to express feelings and our residents look forward to these regular art sessions.

World Cruise from Kenwyn to Italy!
Today we whisked off to Italy as the first stop on our World Cruise for 2024.
Not only did we enjoy a wonderful afternoon in the Italian atmosphere, listening to Italian music and sharing stories of travels, we also made our own pizzas! Each pizza was garnished with an array of yummy toppings including meats, peppers, pineapple, and of course, lots of cheese!
We had a wonderful time on our travels today and can't wait for the next stop. The next destination is India! So keep an eye out for updates. Or better yet, why not join us?

Dude the magical Pony visits us once more
One of Kenwyn’s most treasured visitors is Dude - the Pony from the wonderful The Hugs Foundation
When Dude visits us there isn’t a face left without a smile.
Residents, relatives and staff adore this gentle chap.
We’ve said before that something magical happens when Dude brings his energy to humans.
Animal therapy is said to improve physical, social and emotional health and Dude certainly seems to do this with all he comes into contact with.
We can’t wait to welcome Dude
back to Kenwyn.
