Activities at Kenwyn Care Home
Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.
Jools Wyngaard
South African born Jools joined the team here at Kenwyn in March 2023 as Activities Coordinator after she decided to try life in the UK with her partner.
Jools' background is in Fundraising and Digital Marketing however after witnessing her Grandmother live with Dementia has since always wanted to work more closely with the aged and vulnerable and enrich the lives of residents.
In her spare time Jools loves her animals and misses her cats who are with her family in South Africa.

Doreen visits the salon
There is nothing more that Doreen enjoys than a good pamper session.
At 94 years young, Doreen likes, hair, nails and makeup to be on point.
Here she is looking fantastic thanks to the assistance of our fabulous hairdresser Tracey Ellard.

Meet Bibin!
Meet Bibin Biju!
Bibin was Kenwyn’s employee of the month in January.
Bibin works in Kenwyn as a member of the Senior Care staff team and joined us last year from overseas and was a Doctor in his own country.
An incredible asset to the Kenwyn team, we feel privileged to have his skill and experience.

Kenwyn's Dementia Cafe and Marks Ark visit
This week we held Kenwyn’s Dementia Cafe.
We enlisted the support of Mark's Ark Wildlife Encounters to make sure that the cafe was really interactive.
Animals have the ability to reach people on a level that humans can’t always reach each other, especially those who live with Dementia.
Some of our residents adore animals - even the weird and wonderful.

It's Employee of the Month Time at Kenwyn again!
In the Spotlight for February is Ninsu Abraham
Ninsu joined us towards the end of last year and has made a huge difference to our team and our residents already.
Ninsu has picked things up really easily, she works incredibly hard for our residents and valued hugely by our team and resident’s alike.
A fully trained Nurse in her own Country we feel privileged to have her skill and expertise in Kenwyn.
All that is left to say is ‘Thank you and welcome Ninsu’
