Activities at Kingswood Court Care Home

Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Sarah Walton

Activity Coordinator

I have been working at Kingswood Court for 3 years, first as a carer and since 2022 as an activity coordinator.

I really enjoy making a difference to our residents’ life and organising events and activities for them. I like to involve the local community in events within the home. Activities at Kingswood Court are very varied: entertainers, singers, gentle exercise, arts and craft, outings, and so much more!

Art Project

This month we were invited to take part in a local community art project, organised by Brick Project UK. Our residents were asked to paint three separate brightly coloured disks, with any design they choose. These disks are going to be a part of a large mandala mural, which will be located in the Library of Things in Kingswood.

Celebrating Good CQC Rating

Here at Kingswood Court we celebrated our recent CQC rating in style with a themed party, refreshments and delicious treats.

The home received ‘Good’ in all areas after a recent Care Quality Commission inspection and was praised for operating a safe, caring, responsive, effective and well-led service. We are all delighted and proud.
