Activities at Kingswood Court Care Home

Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Sarah Walton

Activity Coordinator

I have been working at Kingswood Court for 3 years, first as a carer and since 2022 as an activity coordinator.

I really enjoy making a difference to our residents’ life and organising events and activities for them. I like to involve the local community in events within the home. Activities at Kingswood Court are very varied: entertainers, singers, gentle exercise, arts and craft, outings, and so much more!

The Light of Christ

A Christingle usually refers to ‘The Light of Christ’ and is a symbol of the Christian faith.

Special birthday's in the visiting suite

Such a wonderful afternoon as this lovely lady celebrated her 100th birthday recently. Everyone pulled out all the stops to ensure she had a day to remember. All topped off by being able to have her family celebrate due to our designated visiting suite. Although it had to be behind glass the day was so special.

Special Anniversary

This lovely couple have recently celebrated their wedding anniversary. They were treated to a special meal complete with fizz and then an afternoon putting their feet up with their favourite film. They picked Kingswood Court as their forever home together. We are so pleased they did as they are just lovely to have around.

Afternoon Tea.

Lovely afternoon, sweet treats, pots of tea and a good old natter with good friends just perfect.

Colouring for fun

Never to old for colouring, sometimes relaxing with soothing music and some colouring pencils is just the tonic you need.
