Activities at Latimer Court Care Home
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.
Here at Latimer Court, we have a varied social programme that includes themed events once a month, painting classes, day trips out, exercise classes and arts & crafts, to name but a few. We strive to tailor our activities to suit everyone's needs, and update our notice boards weekly so that all families and visitors can see what their loved ones have been up to. Our aim is to make sure that those we support can enjoy a happy and fulfilled stay with us.

Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Latimer Court Care Home

A Winter stroll around our gardens!
Sometimes you just can't beat getting out and about in the fresh air, especially on those chilly Winter mornings! A few of our residents got out and about this week, making sure they bundled up to battle the chill and go for a wander around our gardens.
There were lots of chats & giggles as we went, and we were even able to take a look at our raised flower beds and make some plans for Spring and Summer. What flowers would you plant in our beds and gardens? Let us know!

Christmas Presents!
The 3rd Warndon Rainbows and the 4th Warndon Brownies with Chloe who runs the groups have dropped off all the Christmas presents today for the residents.
We would like to say a huge thankyou from the residents and staff for the amazing work they do. This is greatly received.
Merry Christmas to all and Happy New Year and we look forward to seeing you all in 2025. Look after yourselves and stay safe Christmas.

Dunelm gifts!
We have had great support from Dunelm Blackpole Worcester this year after liasing with Rebeckie who works there.
Their customers from the community and afar have kindly taken a ticket off the Christmas Tree in store and bought a Christmas present for our residents who live with us.
It's really lovely as some of our residents don’t have any family to visit them. This will be great as Father Christmas will visit on Christmas day morning and give them all out to our residents.

Pantomime at the Swan Theatre!
On both the 11th and the 16th of December we were lucky enough to visit the theatre!
Firstly, taking the residents to the Swan Theatre in Worcester to watch the panto Aladdin was wonderful!
All the residents wanted to go and activities made that happen and booked two trips to go! The Residents had a fabulous time watching Aladdin, they had drinks on arrival and had lots of fun and laughter throughout the show.
A really nice time was spent at the theatre and it's given us thoughts to do more trips when the residents want to go and see other performances as its not far for us to go.

Carol Singing
School children from Perry Wood primary school recently visited to perform for the residents.
We had a great time watching the children carol singing for the residents who live with us. The residents really enjoyed watching the children too, they joined in with clapping and singing.
The children also had hot chocolate with us and a chocolate lolly to take with them. All the residents enjoyed more hot drinks after the children left and we carried on singing Christmas songs.

Christmas Panto
All the residents had a fab time watching the Panto “A Christmas Carol”, an early start to Christmas to start the festivities off.
The residents joined in with singing and had a good laugh watching the crew perform.
