Activities at Latimer Court Care Home
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.
Here at Latimer Court, we have a varied social programme that includes themed events once a month, painting classes, day trips out, exercise classes and arts & crafts, to name but a few. We strive to tailor our activities to suit everyone's needs, and update our notice boards weekly so that all families and visitors can see what their loved ones have been up to. Our aim is to make sure that those we support can enjoy a happy and fulfilled stay with us.

Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Latimer Court Care Home

Celebrating Doris on her 105th Birthday!
Doris, our beautiful and delightful resident, celebrated her 105th Birthday today with family, friends and staff.
Doris also received many birthday cards from people she knew and the generosity of total strangers who wanted to send her wishes for this milestone birthday - we were blown away! She also received a birthday card from the Royal family too, signed by King Charles and Queen Camilla.
She enjoyed her delicious birthday cake and a performance by the Solo Dolly Show which everyone was able to enjoy! A wonderful celebration was had to honour Doris's special day. Happy Birthday Doris :)

Home donates to local charity
Latimer Court care home in Worcester recently presented its local charity with 150 shoeboxes with items to aid the homeless this winter. Maggs Day Centre do a fantastic job supporting local families and the local community. Latimer Court care home wanted to do all they could to help this deserving charity, especially in these challenging times, so they have been collecting food, toys, toiletries, clothing and other festive treats to gift to this deserving cause. All initiated by Care Assistant Lucie Haines who works at Latimer Court, Lucy originally wanted to pull together around 10 shoeboxes as she believed this would make more than a difference to the lives of those who attend the day centre. In the end, Latimer Court received enough donations to put together over 150 shoeboxes.

Christmas crafts
It's The big build up to Christmas, and residents love arts and crafts. But when its Christmas it’s even better. Some of the residents enjoyed painting Christmas trees and making Christmas cards. But one lady wanted to help the activities coordinator with making Christmas decorations for the dining rooms for Christmas day, 2 hours later we handmade 4 beautiful garlands.

Blue Bell farm pub lunch
Our residents had a lovely afternoon at Blue Bell Farm. Residents really enjoyed their pub lunch outing in Worcester. Most of them enjoyed a lovely carvery and one gent really wanted fish and chips, Stanley said to Dan that was the best fish and chips that he has ever had in his life, Stanley also said he can’t wait to go home and have a little nap.

Webb’s garden centre outing
Our ladies had a lovely morning at Webb’s garden centre in Worcester going round looking at the Christmas displays and a spot of shopping. Pat said to Dan, our activities coordinator, that she really enjoyed herself, looking round and buying some cards ready for Christmas. After looking around Webb’s we went down to the café and had a lovely warm cup of tea.
