Activities at Lydfords Care Home
We understand that the people we support have passions and interests that could be difficult to pursue after moving into a care home – but that doesn’t mean we don’t encourage them to try! Some hobbies can define a person, so our Activities Coordinators are dedicated to ensuring that everyone we support is able to do what makes them happy to the best of their abilities. Social events are organised with individual tastes in mind and with the idea that residents have the opportunity to try new and exciting things.

Craft Activity with Volunteer Karen
Our wonderful volunteer Karen came to Lydfords this week to do some arts and crafts.
Here you can see some of our residents proudly showing off the results of their handy work: handmade butterfly jars.
Arts and crafts are great for maintaining dexterity and the results are beautiful!
We would like to extend a BIG thank you to Karen!
Bananagrams
Residents enjoyed challenging themselves and each other with the word game 'Bananagrams'.
Residents aim to use all of their letters to build a word grid in a race to the finish.
The first player to use all of their tiles is crowned "Top Banana"!
