Activities at Magnolia Court Care Home
Our Activities Coordinators work as a team by involving staff and relatives in the activities sessions. They implement and plan activities tailored to residents' likes, dislikes, beliefs and life stories. Lots of people choose to place loved ones in Magnolia Court because of our reputation for hosting great activities all year long!

I joined Barchester in December 2019 as an Activities assistant and in February 2022 I became the Activities Lead at Magnolia Court Care Home. I am passionate about my role at Magnolia Court, I am a people person and nothing makes me happier than putting a smile on our Residents faces. It is a joy to work with such a great team, I am very happy to be a part of team Magnolia and look forward to meeting you soon!

Jubilee Celebrations!
Jubilee Celebrations!
What a wonderful bank holiday we had. Excitement was running high all week for the Queens Jubilee and the day did not disappoint.
Residents got together to watch the famous trooping of the colour and and some showed their competitive side with Jubilee inspired board games.
Residents and our lovely relatives enjoy a good sing-a-long and what a perfect opportunity it was to enjoy all the war time classics with live music by our student Volunteers Chloe & Diti.

The Chelsea Flower Show at Magnolia Court!
Residents enjoyed celebrating the Chelsea Flower Show. Our residents had a lovely time making their own floral arrangements and discussing the many vibrant colours of the flowers. Some residents preferred to watch the Chelsea Flower Show and chat over a cup of tea and some delicious homemade cake.

Magnolia Court joined organisation and members of the Camden Dementia Action Alliance raising dementia awareness in the community. Talking about support and services available in the area and how to find out more.

Residents and team members at Magnolia Court were pleasantly surprised to see some unusual visitors from Performing Pets recently. Everyone has really enjoyed cuddling, touching and feeding a cute baby lamb named 'Lambo' and to find out more about the farm animals and their habits from Des and Karl.
Residents enjoyed stroking, holding and feeding the little lamb. We knew that having the farm animals here would be a bit of fun for all our residents and we have seen the enjoyment and the therapeutic influence that animals can have on people.

Celebrating the grand opening of Magnolia Courts recent refurbishment!
Residents and guests had a wonderful time celebrating the grand opening of Magnolia Courts recent refurbishment. There was wonderful entertainment. A pianist played as residents and guests arrived for the event. Valentina, chef at Magnolia Court and her amazing team laid on a beautiful array of canapés, cheese boards with fresh fruit platters for everyone to enjoy.. With the most delicious cakes and plenty of fizz.
Morris entertained us later in the afternoon with all our favourite hits to sing and dance along to and a compilation of songs from around the world.
It was a fabulous event. A big congratulations to the team and thank you to everyone that joined us.

Residents and team members at Magnolia Court Care Home had a wonderful time celebrating The Queens Birthday. The sun was shining and we enjoyed delicious treats baked by our chef and his team. The life enrichments team organised a royal quiz and there was a glass or two of fizz!
