Activities at Moors Manor Care Home

Our activities team are great at building the activities programme around the likes and interests of the people we care for. Ensuring that our social events offer fun and adventure is part of the ethos of our home; it’s important that those we support can enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat are always welcomed.

Jo Henderson

Activities Coordinator

Hi, my name is Jo Henderson and I am the Activities Coordinator here at Moors Manor.

I am looking forward to bringing my creative side to the home as I was previously a florist and baker and look forward to us making lots of lovely treats for us all to enjoy.

When at home Jo is a mother to two wonderful daughters and also a pet mum to labrador Marley.

I cannot wait to welcome our residents into their wonderful new home and help to bring smiles, joy and laughter to each day.

Barchester cheque presentation to Chat Cafe charity

Parley Place care home recently presented Chat Café Local with a cheque for £500 to enable the charity to have speakers to provide information and support to their groups.   Chat Café Local is a local charity aiming to combat loneliness and social isolation by bringing communities together. The home welcomed Anne Anderson to a small gathering at the home which included Parley’s sister homes, Upton Bay who were instrumental in the application for this grant and Moors Manor who are also keen to support Anne in her vision to combat loneliness and social isolation.
