Activities at Mount House and Severn View
Our Activities team is a dedicated group whom strive to ensure that the residents of Mount House have a broad range of meaningful activities daily which reflect the needs, wants and interests of all our residents. From our larger events including Garden Parties in our spectacular grounds to birthday celebrations with live musical entertainment we always have a broad range of events to suit all of our wonderful residents. We also go on a number of outings throughout the year in and around Shropshire, many of which are linked to community organisations whom cater specifically for interests of the people we support.
Something we have always been passionate about here at The Mount is Music therapy and we offer a diverse musical programme of live music and entertainers throughout the year to suit all tastes. Food theme days and tasting afternoons, as well as regular Cookery classes and chair yoga are on offer as well as beauty therapy and massage.
We aim to consistently provide a high quality activities programme for all of our residents and ensure that regardless of limitations and circumstances each individual has the best possible experience within our home, through both a physical and mentally stimulating person-centred approach.

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies

Coronation Spread Fit for a King!
It was all Red, White and Blue for our Coronation Lunch toady. Thank you to our amazing Chef's. We all had fun raising a glass to King Charles III and Queen Camilla. What a wonderful day for the whole of the UK. Our residents are feeling very patriotic and proud.

It's Coronation morning and the residents and staff at Mount House & Severn View are up with tables laid and ready to raise a glass of bubbles for the King’s Coronation.
Happy Birthday 'Helen'
Our last resident birthday in April saw the lovely 'Helen' celebrate with family on a wonderful day out. We love a birthday at The Mount so couldn't miss out on hosting our own little in-home party for Helen on her return... with a rendition of 'Happy Birthday' and large slice of homemade birthday cake courtesty of Chef Charlotte. She had a fabulous day all round.
Happy Birthday 'Henry'
Please join us in wishing our birthday gentleman of the month 'Henry' a super big 'Happy Birthday'! Henry is a wonderful guy, full of smiles, he loved eating his favourite chocolates, and a large slice of fresh fruit topped cake courtesy of Chef.
Forget-Me-Not Blooms
Our wonderful volunteer gardener; Jane got to work on clearing the raised beds and created this beautiful vase of forget-me-nots for our residents to enjoy. They're so lovely - Thank you!

Paulo is a favourite with our residents, everyone loves his romantic songs and he's always happy to dance! Today Helen was the first to the floor.
