Activities at Newton House Care Home
Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!
Newton House Activities Team
Amanda, Sabrina, Karen and Jill make up our fantastic Activities Team here at Newton House. They develop and oversee an active living programme for each resident, which encourages mobility, social contact, independence and fun. Each and every person can thrive and live to their full potential with no day ever being the same. They bring great enthusiasm and spark to Newton House and have one passion, which is to deliver an amazing and vibrant activities programme to cater to all tastes and abilities.

Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Newton House Care Home
Halloween
We had a fantastic party that was enjoyed by residents, staff, families and friends. Our kitchen team also put on a fantastic spread that was enjoyed by all.
Pumpkin Shopping
We enjoyed a trip to Asda to buy pumpkins for Halloween. It was great fun choosing the best pumpkins and looking at the different shapes and sizes of them all.
We then spent a morning choosing our favourite designs to be displayed on our pumpkins in the coffee lounge, ready for our Halloween party on Thursday.

Autumn Newsletter
Therapy Dog
Here at Newton House we have Oakley, the therapy dog that visits every week with his owners Jacqui and Howard. Our residents really love these visits and Oakley can’t wait for his treats!
Boat Trip
This summer we were on a 2 hour river cruise down the river Trent at Newark. We had a wonderful time with a pack up made by the kitchen staff and drinks supplied on the boat. We had lots of fun, reminiscence and a good old sing-along.
