Activities at Newton House Care Home
Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!
Newton House Activities Team
Amanda, Sabrina, Karen and Jill make up our fantastic Activities Team here at Newton House. They develop and oversee an active living programme for each resident, which encourages mobility, social contact, independence and fun. Each and every person can thrive and live to their full potential with no day ever being the same. They bring great enthusiasm and spark to Newton House and have one passion, which is to deliver an amazing and vibrant activities programme to cater to all tastes and abilities.

Life at Newton House Care Home
Local Farm Visit
Residents and team members of Newton House visited their local farm. Everyone enjoyed the lovely weather by having picnic and ice-cold drinks. The residents had the chance to learn about the animals and also to feed them. It was a great day.
Friendship Day
Here at Newton House we celebrated Friendship Day by getting together, discussing what friendship means to us and writing it down on a board for all to see in our reception area, followed by friendship bracelet making for the other residents.
Out & About
The weather has recently brightened up, so we seized the opportunity to take a trip to the local park to feed the ducks, have a look at the new features and enjoy some ice cream. We are off to watch the bowls there next time!
Tea Dance
We had our first tea dance, and it went down a treat, with the home home joining in! We are definitely looking forward to the next one!
Newton Strikes Out
Residents in our Gentlemen's Club decided that they wanted to go bowling this month, and it got very competitive!
International Women's Day
On International Women’s Day, we thought we’d treat our ladies to a pampering afternoon. They had their hair, make-up and nails done, followed by a glass of fizz!
