Activities at Newton House Care Home
Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!
Newton House Activities Team
Amanda, Sabrina, Karen and Jill make up our fantastic Activities Team here at Newton House. They develop and oversee an active living programme for each resident, which encourages mobility, social contact, independence and fun. Each and every person can thrive and live to their full potential with no day ever being the same. They bring great enthusiasm and spark to Newton House and have one passion, which is to deliver an amazing and vibrant activities programme to cater to all tastes and abilities.

Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Newton House Care Home
90th Birthday Celebrations
At Newton House, we had an amazing time celebrating a resident's 90th birthday. We had cake, music and a little tipple.
Coffee Morning
Here at Newton House, we welcomed Grantham Fire service, local PCSOs and the funeral directors who have supported us and the residents.
We wanted to say a big thank you for all their hard work and dedication, so we invited them to enjoy breakfast with us and take a well-deserved break.
National Pizza Day
We had a great time celebrating National Pizza Day by adorning our walls with Italian decorations. Of course, we also made pizzas, which nearly every resident enjoyed. One Italian resident especially liked the decorations, pizza and Italian music that we played.
Valentine's Day
Here at Newton House, we have been celebrating Valentine’s Day with a fabulous 3-course meal prepared by the amazing chefs in the kitchen. It was delivered by the spectacular activities team, who also turned the coffee lounge into a romantic restaurant.
Everyone who attended said what a lovely meal it was and one family was so happy that they made a thank you speech to all who were part of the event.
Burns Night
We had a fantastic Burns Night celebration with bagpiper, Mark Gresham, and our Head Chef, Deb, addressed the haggis. Everyone had a fun night!
Christmas Party
We were lucky enough to be joined by the Mayor and Mayoress, who came to Newton House to enjoy one of our Christmas parties.
