Activities at Newton House Care Home
Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!
Newton House Activities Team
Amanda, Sabrina, Karen and Jill make up our fantastic Activities Team here at Newton House. They develop and oversee an active living programme for each resident, which encourages mobility, social contact, independence and fun. Each and every person can thrive and live to their full potential with no day ever being the same. They bring great enthusiasm and spark to Newton House and have one passion, which is to deliver an amazing and vibrant activities programme to cater to all tastes and abilities.

Life at Newton House Care Home
Animal House
We had a visit from the wonderful Zoolab again. The residents love all the different animals they bring with them!
For the Love of Music
Everyone at Newton House had an amazing time when Eric played some music for us. Residents and staff were singing and dancing along throughout the morning.
August Open Day
Our August open day was a huge success, and we had lots of visitors who agreed. Residents, staff and guests enjoyed plenty of fun entertainment and delicious food. Thank you to everyone who attended and who contributed to make the event go smoothly.
Sensory Bus Ride
We had a wonderful visit from the lottery-funded sensory bus recently. Residents thoroughly enjoyed it, as you can see, They took a trip to the seaside on the wonderful projection, followed by a fish and chip lunch that was cooked by our kitchen to finish off.
Kesteven Rideability
Our lovely lady Josie is 91 years young and has been dreaming of riding again for years, and her dream finally came true when she had a go on the horse simulator at Kesteven Rideability. It was lovely to see that smile!
You can watch a video of Josie on the simulator by clicking here.
Fun in the Sun
The paddling pool came out because of all this hot weather, and residents enjoyed spending plenty of time in the garden. Even the chickens got involved!
