Activities at Newton House Care Home
Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!
Newton House Activities Team
Amanda, Sabrina, Karen and Jill make up our fantastic Activities Team here at Newton House. They develop and oversee an active living programme for each resident, which encourages mobility, social contact, independence and fun. Each and every person can thrive and live to their full potential with no day ever being the same. They bring great enthusiasm and spark to Newton House and have one passion, which is to deliver an amazing and vibrant activities programme to cater to all tastes and abilities.

Life at Newton House Care Home
Armistice Arts & Crafts
We wanted to create a great visual display in recognition of Remembrance Day, and it has been a great talking point since we put it up.
We visited the International Bomber Command Centre in Lincoln and took a trip into town on Sunday 11th November to attend the Remembrance Parade.
Residents had a great time doing arts & crafts, creating stained glass poppies and reminiscing about the war times.
Boogie Beatz
Danni from Boogie Beatz exercise came to visit us again this month for our exercise class. She does a wide range of exercises and the residents have a really good time shaking their pom poms to all sorts of different music.
World Alzheimer's Day
For World Alzheimer’s Day, we thought we would celebrate on our Memory Lane community and were joined by firm favourite singer, Jeremy. The residents thoroughly enjoyed dancing and swooning over him.
Bonkers for Conkers
Some residents wanted to re-live their childhood by going conker picking. The challenge is on!
Chris Coe Singalong
We have had a great singalong, with Chris Coe on the piano. Some residents were even up on their feet dancing.
Great Eggspectations
Our resident chickens, Nancy, Coco, Chiniqua and Nemo, are now 5 months old. We have had them since Easter and these are the 4 girls that hatched. We are happy to say that they are now laying fresh eggs. They are a big focus point for residents.
