Activities at Queens Court Care Home
Activities are one of the most important aspects of our care home, providing fun and companionship, so it is essential that our team are dedicated to ensuring that residents are entertained and that life at Queens Court is fun and active. Throughout the home, there is a choice of lounges, which have been designed for people who enjoy socialising and love making new friends. Music therapy, speakers of interest, events, cinema screenings and family events are offered regularly, as well as the Book Club or Poetry Corner, for those who enjoy quieter activities. Our social programme is varied and exciting and is available seven days a week. You can be as busy as you like. Our friends of Queens Court regularly support our special events and activities at the home, which include trips to the seaside and National Trust site

Gardening Club
Residents during our gardening club did an amazing job looking after our plants and flowers.
Food Forum
Our Head Chef hosts a food forum every 2 weeks, which is always good fun. Residents create a light dish with him and discuss their choices, which can sometime evoke special memories. This one was a sweet crêpe creation.
The Magic Table
We are delighted to announce that we have just had a Magic Table installed, which is an interactive light projector, designed to support residents living with dementia by keeping them engaged through specialised games.
The light projections respond to hand and arm movement, allowing residents to stay stimulated and, most of all, have fun!
You can read more about it on this page.
School Visit
Residents and staff at Queens Court were visited by some of the students from Thomas’ Clapham School, who showed us all their amazing work. This visit was topped off with some freshly baked biscuits and juices.
St Patrick's Day
St Patricks Day was celebrated with high tea, and everything was adorned in traditional colours.
Valentine's Day
Residents, relatives and staff at Queens Court celebrated this day of love with afternoon tea. Gifts were distributed and stories about relationships with their loved ones were shared.
