Activities at Ritson Lodge Care Home

Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Christmas Cake Competition

Christmas Cake Competition

Folks at Ritson Lodge have been keeping themselves busy preparing for the festive season; this scrumptious Christmas cake that was made for our competition is evidence of that.

Preparing for Christmas

Preparing for Christmas

Here at Ritson Lodge, we are getting ready for Christmas. Here you will see that we have started on our christmas cards for relatives.

Afternoon Tea and Dance Party

Afternoon Tea and Dance Party

Here at Ritson Lodge, we decided that we needed to kick up our heels and have a dance. Our kitchen staff made us delicious cakes and we all had a boogie to many of the old classics.

Potting Up Plants

Potting Up Plants

After a trip to Lound Garden Centre to buy plants for the upstairs balcony, as it needed some much deserved colour, the residents who loved gardening helped to pot up some of the plants.

Halloween Party

Halloween Party

We carved pumpkins, made cakes and decorated the home to prepare for our Halloween party. Staff brought along their children in the evening for trick or treating, and we were also joined by 30 children from the local community, which was lovely. We even played a game of 'pin the tail on the black cat'.

Trip to Lound Garden Centre

Trip to Lound Garden Centre

We had a lot of fun at our local garden centre, where we purchased plants to brighten up our balcony garden. We finished off the day with a well-deserved piece of cake and a coffee for all our hard work.
