Activities at Rose Lodge Care Home
Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Hello, my name is Jane and I am the Activities Coordinator here at Rose Lodge and I have been here since 2010 .
My role is to engage and stimulate our residents by offering a range of activities for them to enjoy. I want to get everyone involved and make our home community and atmosphere as positive and welcoming as possible.
Making sure that our residents have things to do that they really enjoy doing is something that I am passionate about, It is so important to make sure that they are happy and enjoy all of the activities and events that we do with them. We enjoy creating new and special memories together.

Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Rose Lodge Care Home
St Patrick's Day Celebrations
Staff and residents had a fantastic time celebrating St Patrick's Day at the home. The day was filled with Irish music, cakes and obviously a drop of Guinness!
Trip Out
Residents enjoyed a trip out to Baytree Garden Centre recently. Everyone truly enjoyed the walk around the centre, followed by a delicious lunch. A lovely day was had by all.
International Women's Day
On 8th of March residents celebrated International Women’s Day with pride entertainment and afternoon cream tea and fruit punch. A lovely afternoon enjoyed by all, raising a glass to toast the occasion. Residents also received an invite for the special celebration, made by the Activities Team.
Valentine's Day
In recognition of Valentine's Day, residents enjoyed a morning with entertainment by Pride and received roses from the entertainers. In the afternoon we had a lovely themed raffle, which was enjoyed by all.
Chocolate Cake Day
Residents of Rose Lodge took part in National Chocolate Cake Day and baked a delicious cake in recognition of the occasion. We all had lots of fun.
National Nestbox Week
To celebrate National Nestbox Week we spent one morning painting bird boxes, to be placed in our garden for a variety of birds to use. We can't wait to see what birds we start to see!
