Activities at Rose Lodge Care Home

Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Jane Ritchie

Head of Activities

Hello, my name is Jane and I am the Activities Coordinator here at Rose Lodge and I have been here since 2010 .

My role is to engage and stimulate our residents by offering a range of activities for them to enjoy. I want to get everyone involved and make our home community and atmosphere as positive and welcoming as possible.

Making sure that our residents have things to do that they really enjoy doing is something that I am passionate about, It is so important to make sure that they are happy and enjoy all of the activities and events that we do with them. We enjoy creating new and special memories together.

"This is what slow looks like, but at least I'm running..."

"This is what slow looks like, but at least I'm running..."

Hello, my name is Chrissie, and I am running the 10k Great East Anglian Run in the name of Barchester's Charitable Foundation.

I decided to do this because my family and I started running a few years ago to keep fit and, whist doing Parkuns, we learned about the 10k runs that are done around the country.

I did my first official 10k run in 2016 and this year I'll be doing the same again, but for the Foundation.

As for how I feel about the challenge itself: I know I can do it and I’m looking forward to it - it’s more about how fast I can do it; I’m hoping to get in under an hour and twenty minutes.
