Activities at Rose Water Place Care Home
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Georgia Williams
Hi, my name is Georgia and I am the Activities Coordinator here at Rose Water Place.
I have done various roles in the care industry from being a carer, to activities, to administrator. I have enjoyed every role but I feel activities is my calling. I love making our residents smile and enjoy spending time with them and listening to every life story and ambition.
During Covid, I won a regional and national award for activities and had the opportunity to have afternoon tea in the House of Lords.
Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Rose Water Place Care Home

Baking their own afternoon tea
Two of our lovely ladies asked if they could bake some scones for afternoon tea in one of our 3 lifestyle kitchens.
Of course the answer was yes! They then enjoyed them on one of our many balconies, enjoying the sunshine with a visitor.

Wimbledon at Rose Water Place
Our residents celebrated the Wimbledon season by having their very own Wimbledon in our beautiful garden, staff vs residents.
They had a great time playing tennis and enjoyed a nice cold glass of Pimm's whilst eating strawberries with cream. Some of the strawberries were even grown in our greenhouse!

An afternoon of baking
Our residents requested to do some baking this afternoon. Their wish was our command!
Bacon and cheese turnovers and chocolate chip cookies. They smelt absolutely delicious whilst they were cooking and I think there will be a queue of people wanting to sample them!

Our very own pet therapy dog, Jelly!
This week we have had a new member of the team join us, our Deputy Manager Krzysztof's dog, Jelly.
The residents and staff have thoroughly enjoyed Jelly visiting and I think Jelly has enjoyed all the fuss she has been getting from us all.
Jelly has now been registered as our official pet therapy dog.

Spanish Garden Party
Our visitors and residents had a fabulous time at our Spanish party.
Rafael, our Regional Chef, cooked the most amazing traditional tapas, paella and churros in chocolate, all served with a lovely cold glass of sangria

Maidstone Art Centre bring the art community to Rose Water Place
It is our absolute pleasure The Maidstone Art Centre are able to use our facilities.
Not only does the community still get to continue to carry on with their art whilst they look for a new permanent home, but our residents also get to join in and meet new friends.
