Activities at Rose Water Place Care Home

Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.

Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Georgia Williams

Activities Coordinator

Hi, my name is Georgia and I am the Activities Coordinator here at Rose Water Place.

I have done various roles in the care industry from being a carer, to activities, to administrator.  I have enjoyed every role but I feel activities is my calling.  I love making our residents smile and enjoy spending time with them and listening to every life story and ambition.

During Covid, I won a regional and national award for activities and had the opportunity to have afternoon tea in the House of Lords.

Activities and Events Partnerships

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies

Life at Rose Water Place Care Home

A relaxing pamper session

Do you like being pampered?

Our ladies most certainly do. They spent the afternoon listening to whale sounds, whilst smelling lavender from the essential oil diffuser whilst having facials and hand and face massages.

A successful first toddler group

First thing Friday morning our residents were eagerly waiting for Georgia, our Activities Coordinator, to arrive to help her set up for our 1st Toddler Group.

Around 20 children attended and enjoyed playing with the sensory toys, ball pit, tunnels and even some of the older children enjoyed colouring whilst nursery rhymes were playing in the back ground.

The residents thoroughly enjoyed the toddlers visiting the home and even joined in with entertaining them. They can't wait for the little visitors to visit again next month.

A welcomed visit from Mr Softee

Yesterday afternoon we had a very welcomed visitor, Mister Softee. The residents, staff and visitors all enjoyed a naughty but nice 99 ice cream.

And our mini bus has been out!

This afternoon our Activities Coordinator, Georgia, took a couple of our lovely ladies out shopping this to buy toys for our 1st Rose Water Place Toddler Group tomorrow morning.

They thoroughly enjoyed being part of the preparation of the toddler group and can't wait to see the children play with the toys tomorrow.

Birthday Celebrations

Our lovely resident, Grace, has recently celebrated her birthday so we decided to throw a little surprise party for her.

Grace has told us that she really enjoyed a chocolate with fresh strawberries cake so our chef baked one for her birthday.

We had rock and roll music, mocktails and plenty of singing and laughter.

Our minibus has arrived!

We are absolutely delighted by the delivery of our minibus today. We feel very privileged to be able to offer this to our residents and it supports us to bring more variety and freedom to their lives.

We are very much looking forward to getting out and about locally and venturing further afield. Our residents have lots of places they wish to visit, so the fun starts now!
