Activities at Rose Water Place Care Home

Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.

Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Georgia Williams

Activities Coordinator

Hi, my name is Georgia and I am the Activities Coordinator here at Rose Water Place.

I have done various roles in the care industry from being a carer, to activities, to administrator.  I have enjoyed every role but I feel activities is my calling.  I love making our residents smile and enjoy spending time with them and listening to every life story and ambition.

During Covid, I won a regional and national award for activities and had the opportunity to have afternoon tea in the House of Lords.

Activities and Events Partnerships

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies

Afternoon tea for Langley's Over 60's Club

We have recently had the privilege of hosting an afternoon tea for the Langley Over 60's club.

Our Head Chef, made delicious home made canapes, along with home made scones with clotted cream and jam.

What an enjoyable afternoon had by all.

We are open!

We are happy to share that Rose Water Place, our new luxury care home in Maidstone, has opened its doors in style with a Grand Opening performed by the Mayor of Maidstone, Councillor John Perry, in front of invited guests from the local community.

The home has been designed with residents’ comfort in mind and provides excellent 24-hour residential care in a warm and friendly environment, as well as dedicated care for those living with dementia.

The home features a wide range of facilities, including a café, serving tea, coffee and homemade cakes, and a sensory lounge with terrace access.

General Manager, Hadrian Rodriguez, commented: “We are delighted our home is now open, our residents are at the heart of everything we do, and we look forward to welcoming them and their families, and becoming an intrinsic part of the local community”.

Colour Analysis Event

We had a wonderful event with Katie's Colour & Style.

Each person got to find out which type of colour suited their complexions, hair colour, eye colour and skin type.

The group were then taught how to tie a scarf in different way and how to make a scarf into a kimono which the ladies are going to do when they go on their holidays.

After a delicious buffet and a nice glass of chilled prosecco each lady learnt the best colour mascara, eyeliner and lipstick suited them the best.

Training is in full swing!
