Activities at Shelburne Lodge Care Home
Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Remembrance Sunday.
Residents and staff at Shelburne Lodge came together to honour those that paid the ultimate sacrifice by observing the 2 minute silence. We spent time sharing stories and memories and how important it is to always remember.
“At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them”.

Virtual Cruise
Residents at Shelburne lodge embarked on a virtual cruise experience with a mocktail in hand. Once the ship had docked, Paul, one of Unilever’s talented chefs, demonstrated how to create a handful of local dishes, which our home's very own Head Chef prepared for the residents to try.
Macmillan Coffee Morning
Staff and residents at Shelburne Lodge held a charity coffee morning and bake sale on the 28th September to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support. Shelburne Lodge’s coffee morning was a big success – we managed to raise £131.73 and, most importantly, everyone had a great time doing it!
We can’t wait to present the cheque to them. Head Housekeeper, Rachel, had baked lots of lovely cakes, biscuits and pastries for everyone to sample and for guests to buy to take home. Some other staff had baked cakes and biscuits for the occasion too. Along with their visitors and members of the community, everyone was spoilt for choice!
