Activities at Shelburne Lodge Care Home
Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Life at Shelburne Lodge Care Home
September Sunshine
Residents at Shelburne Lodge enjoyed the sunshine out in the garden with fruit kebabs and cocktails.
Pet Therapy
Rocky came to visit us all at Shelburne Lodge. Residents and staff were very happy to see our furry friend again.
Pamper Afternoon
The sun was shining and the residents enjoyed an afternoon of nail pampering and hand massages, followed by Pimm's and cream tea.
Summer BBQ
Staff, residents, relatives and the local community came together to enjoy a community BBQ that was held in the home’s grounds on Saturday 14th August.
The hospitality team and activities team at Shelburne Lodge served a selection of BBQ favourites which included burgers and hot dogs with the usual toppings. There was also a chocolate fountain with a variety of sweets and fruits, this was enjoyed by everyone who came to the event. We had a variety of summer music playing throughout the afternoon, there was lots of singing and dancing.
Vive La Revolution - We celebrate Bastille Day
The home was decorated with French flags and residents took part in French-themed activities throughout the day learning some French phrases, reminiscing about French holidays, sampling some French food and wine which everyone really enjoyed.
Terence opens wall of Rememberance
Air Raid Shelter Café owner Chris Miller invited our resident Terence a war Veteran along with other Veterans to cut the ribbon to open his thank you wall in remembrance of those who served our country. It was a heart-warming afternoon enjoyed by all.
