Activities at Sherwood Court Care Home

Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Life at Sherwood Court Care Home

Pamper Day

Pamper day at Sherwood court with hair and nails hand massages for all! A wonderful relaxing day with lots of sweet treats and fun.

An Afternoon of Music.

Residents and staff enjoyed an afternoon of music and dance with Alan from music in minds. Fun for all the family, staff residents and friends, invoking memories and involving all in the activity.

Remembrance Day

Residents from Sherwood court visited Preston cenotaph to lay a homemade wreath that they had worked hard on all week and pay their respects. The residents were lucky to meet the mayor and he thanked them for their service.

Halloween at Sherwood Court

A cracking afternoon here at Sherwood Court with our spooky tea party! We had spooky treats, music and a fancy dress competition. Thank you to all who came and joined us. It was such a lovely afternoon spending time with residents and their friends and family.

Royal Botanic Garden

Our homes enjoyed a wonderful virtual tour of the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh with Community Engagement Manager, Charlotte Walker, and Botanic Cottage Operations Co-ordinator, Laura Gallagher.

The residents were thrilled to learn more about the history of the beautiful Garden, which is now a home to an impressive plant collection from around the world.

Charlotte and Laura also gave a demonstration of making fresh herbal tea and were happy to answer our questions.  The virtual experience was truly enjoyed by all who joined.

Live entertainment with Abi

Residents at Sherwood Court have enjoyed a busy day of fun activities before sitting down to enjoy a live performance by popular vocalist, Abi.

Abi performed a medley on songs that had everyone toe-tapping, dancing and singing along too!   It was lovely to watch our residents interaction and Abi’s performance was a huge it!

We look forward to her next visit.
