Activities at Snowdrop Place Care Home
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.
Gemma Moss
Having started my journey as a carer, I am now thrilled to be supporting the activities for our wonderful residents here at Snowdrop Place. I love working with them to ensure we provide a full person-centred planner of amazing and engaging things for everyone to enjoy and be a part of

Kings Coronation
Snowdrop Place joined in with the Kings Coronation celebratory weekend in style, starting off with some of the residents becoming Milliners for the day, and making their own Fascinators to wear for the Kings Coronation. The fun didn’t stop there as Residents, their relatives and staff all got involved in the celebrations for The Kings Coronation on the Bank Holiday Monday, with an Afternoon filled with Delicious Homemade food, Cocktails and much Merriment.
They didn’t let the Typical English weather dampen their enthusiasm, as they posed for pictures with His Royal Highness King Charles III.
Bird Feeders for our loved ones
We've been busy making bird feeders for the ones we love and Gemma our Activities Coordinator has been spreading the love & happiness with some sweet treats.
Therapy Dogs
We love our furry friends at Snowdrop Place and are lucky enough to have 2 therapy dogs visit. Today we welcomed Charlie into Snowdrop for lots of cuddles.
Local school children help with Valentine's Day crafts
Ahead of Valentines Day the students of Berrywood Primary School visited to make felt flowers and valentines cards with the residents. The children always bring so much joy into the home and we look forward to seeing them again soon.
Holy Communion
St Luke's Church Hedge End held their monthly service and Holy Communion this morning for our residents and families.
Its always a joy to hear everyone singing the hymns.
Baking
We've been busy baking over the last couple of days. We tried out Mary Berry's classic fork biscuit recipe. Think everyone would agree they were very tasty
