Activities at Southgate Beaumont Care Community

Our activities team are great at building the activities programme around the likes and interests of the people we care for. Ensuring that our social events offer fun and adventure is part of the ethos of our home; it’s important that those we support can enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat are always welcomed.

Zoe Grindley

Activities Coordinator

Hello My name is Zoe, I have been in the life enrichment team at Southgate Beaumont since December 2021.

I am originally from Liverpool and moved to London in 1997 after being accepted at Mountview Theatre school. After graduating I worked as an actress and accomplished voiceover artist for many years. I also have a vast amount customer service experience, working in many West End Theatres, as Cabin crew for Virgin Atlantic and at Claridges hotel in Mayfair.

Zoe has a passion for making strong connections with people and creating lasting memorable experiences.

My role here at Southgate Beaumont is to ensure our residents lives are packed full of enriching and interesting activity. We provide a wide range of both home led and community led activity for all residents as well as personalised and individual hobby and interest focused events. Our programme ranges from cocktail making, to art history talks, exercise sessions as well as fine dining dinner parties catered for by our chefs

I have made lots of lovely new friends at Southgate Beaumont care home and look forward to making many more.

Chinese New Year

Residents had a lovely afternoon celebrating Chinese New Year here at Southgate Beaumont. Residents enjoyed a specially prepared Dim Sum at lunch, followed by an afternoon learning interesting facts about Chinese culture, traditions and horoscopes.

International Cheese Lover's Day

Residents had a lovely afternoon enjoying Cheese lovers day. With all of their favourite cheeses along with crackers, and washed down with a nice glass of wine! Everybody had a wonderful time!

Each resident discovered their own favourite combination of cheese, crackers and wine. Jacky's favourite....The bowl of pickled onions!

Windy City Weatherbirds

On Friday we were transported to Chicago and the 1930s Jazz era from a group called the Windy City Weatherbirds! We were treated to a wonderful mixture of songs that certainly lifted our spirits on a cold October morning. It was lovely to see residents tapping their feet and waving their hands to the music.
