Activities at Tewkesbury Fields Care Home

Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Paula Lourenco

Activities Coordinator

Hello, my name is Paula and I’m the Activities coordinator at Tewkesbury Fields care home. I’ve joined Barchester healthcare in 2020.

As part of the lifestyle enrichment team, I will be organising daily activities, ensuring that residents have varied activities to choose from each day. I love enriching our residents’ lives, creating memories and be able to provide meaningful activities to each one of the residents living at Tewkesbury fields.

"The Adventures of Alice" by Bredon School

Such a wonderful afternoon watching Bredon School production of "The Adventures of Alice"! -  at Bushley Village Hall. Residents were absolutely thrilled by such a wonderful performance; they also got to meet with the children at the end and get to know more about each other, as well as to discuss about the school.

"So much work has been done behind the scenes for such a fantastic performance like this to be put together", residents said "you should be all very proud of yourselves!" Thanks again for inviting us to come along, and we are looking forward to seeing you again soon!

Delicious desserts

We've been taking some photos of recent served food at Tewkesbury Fields, but mainly delicious desserts, prepared on-site by our talented chefs!

Our meals are always prepared with the likes and dislikes of residents taken into consideration. We can guarantee that there is something for everyone on our daily menu. The residents have given some amazing feedback, and today we wanted everyone to see the selection that was served in the last few weeks by our talented team.

Coffee morning with Bushley Parish Councilors

Linking the community!

We've invited and welcomed Bushley Parish Councillors for a coffee morning over at Tewkesbury Fields Care Home. After a tour around our recently refurnished luxury care home, we all enjoyed a delicious coffee cake prepared by our amazing and talented chef!

Lovely to discuss the events happening at Bushley Village Hall that our residents can join, as well as our upcoming events held at the home. It was lovely to meeting you all, thank you for coming and we look forward to welcoming you back to Tewkesbury Fields for future events.

In2cultures brings the sounds of Africa

Residents have enjoyed a visit from In2Cultures to bring the sounds of Africa.

Liz and Devinder  provided an exciting and enjoyable interactive music session. The beat of the drums got us all dancing, clapping, and singing. Both Liz and Devinder also talked about their passion for African percussion and shared their knowledge and expertise about the instruments and African life with the residents.
