Activities at Tewkesbury Fields Care Home
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Paula Lourenco
Hello, my name is Paula and I’m the Activities coordinator at Tewkesbury Fields care home. I’ve joined Barchester healthcare in 2020.
As part of the lifestyle enrichment team, I will be organising daily activities, ensuring that residents have varied activities to choose from each day. I love enriching our residents’ lives, creating memories and be able to provide meaningful activities to each one of the residents living at Tewkesbury fields.
Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Tewkesbury Fields Care Home

Weekend Enjoyment
We've had a fabulous weekend at Tewkesbury Fields.
In the morning residents and staff enjoyed listening to Nick from Mini Concerts, who sang the most beautiful songs; of course we had to get up and dance.
As it has been such a beautiful sunny day, some residents enjoyed a relaxing afternoon reading a book in outdoors, or enjoyed a walk with the care team.
Others enjoyed showing off their creative talents painting pebbles.

Gardening Club
Our regular gardening club took advantage of a warm spring day and planted potatoes and some summer bulbs.
We also admired our tulips that looked splendid in the pots on our decked patio outside Bushley Lounge.
We look forward to the gardening club with the warmer weather hopefully heading our way!
Eddie, our head of maintenance was also delighted to be able to start and mow our beautiful lawns, and our residents enjoyed the smell of the fresh cut grass as they commented "it was a sign of the warmer weather on it's way" ( We are very positive thinkers at Tewkesbury Fields!)

Nature in Spring time
Residents have enjoyed a couple of trips out in our minibus and appreciated how beautiful the countryside setting is around our wonderful home.
We went on a mystery drive, we got to see sheep, lambs, the bright Daffodils, the beautiful trees in blossom and our local church at Eldersfield. We saw many pheasants, quails, swans and even the heron.
It was just peaceful to see the beautiful scenery around. We also enjoyed a walk around the lake.
Nature is just so beautiful!

Easter Baking
Good Friday traditions...
During our baking club, the talented residents made hot cross muffins and Easter nests. As always we have fun following recipes and add our own secret ingredients - this is normally laughter and giggles!
The afternoon tea trolley was full with all freshly baked cakes and welcomed by all.
According to those who have had one, they were very good (and we have none left now ).
Happy Good Friday to all!

International Women's Day
Happy international women's day.
Today we celebrated the strength, resilience and achievements of women everywhere at Tewkesbury Fields, we're proud to honour and appreciate the invaluable contributions of our female residents and staff.
We were delighted to hand out flowers to residents and staff to celebrate International Women's day
We celebrated the day by surprising all ladies in the home with fresh roses and gerberas.

Scottish Country Dancing
We welcomed 15 members of Pershore Scottish Country Dance Society to do a demonstration of Scottish dance.
They are such a friendly and talented group of different generations that brought in so much energy during their dance. Our residents enjoyed the music, the dancing and we even learnt a few routines.
We look forward to their next visit and we may even have our own kilts!
Thank you for your visit and the lovely afternoon.…
