Activities at Tixover House Care Home
Our activities team are great at building the activities programme around the likes and interests of the people we care for. Ensuring that our social events offer fun and adventure is part of the ethos of our home; it’s important that those we support can enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat are always welcomed.
Caroline Geddes
Hello, my name is Caroline and I joined the team at Tixover House in 2023.
I am passionate about creating person-centred activities which ultimately enrich our residents' lives. My main aim is to bring happiness through the doorway daily; spreading smiles, laughter and love - I want to make a difference to the lives of those that we support.

Life at Tixover House Care Home
The Great Outdoors
We enjoyed the great outdoors with a refreshing walk around the grounds whilst the weather was mild. There were lots of smiles along the way as people checked out all the spring flowers and lambs in the fields. Afterwards, we all went for a much-needed cuppa.
Puzzled People
Residents of Tixover had a lot of fun trying to solve some puzzles whilst listening to music and having a good ol' sing along.
Furry Friends
We were joined by some very special, four-legged friends from the local farm at Tixover, who came to see us and loved being made a fuss of by the residents.
Baking Fun
We baked some ginger cupcakes ready for tea at 3:00 p.m. and decorated them with butter icing. The ladies did a fantastic job and we all enjoyed tasting them.
90th Birthday Celebrations
Anna recently turned 90, so we hosted a birthday celebration with her loved ones, staff members and fellow residents. Head Chef, Susan, made this beautiful cake and everyone joined in to sing 'Happy Birthday' to our special lady.
Seated Exercise
We invited Chloe from Sit Dance Company to come and help out residents with some seated exercise. Everyone loved her and her choice of music. There was lots of toe tapping and, with the use of some apparatus, we were shaking all over. All residents involved loved the session and can't wait to do it again.
