Activities at Tixover House Care Home
Our activities team are great at building the activities programme around the likes and interests of the people we care for. Ensuring that our social events offer fun and adventure is part of the ethos of our home; it’s important that those we support can enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat are always welcomed.

Hello, my name is Caroline and I joined the team at Tixover House in 2023.
I am passionate about creating person-centred activities which ultimately enrich our residents' lives. My main aim is to bring happiness through the doorway daily; spreading smiles, laughter and love - I want to make a difference to the lives of those that we support.

Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Tixover House Care Home
Seated Stretches
Residents enjoyed seated stretches with our very own Hostess, Karina. There was lively music and a wake up stretch, which got everyone off to a good start.
Spring Gardening
A green-fingered resident has been busy planting spring flowers and bulbs on the patio with the help of our Maintenance Manager – and the results speak for themselves.
Musical Entertainment
The wonderful Gavin joined us for a day of classical, rock, and all our much-loved show tunes, which we all got up and danced to. Gavin always is a hit with everyone, especially the ladies.
Flower Power
The ladies of Tixover spent some time recently flower arranging, so that everyone could enjoy the feeling of spring in the home.
Open Day
We had a great open day and were joined by family and friends, with the singing talents of Jeremy to keep us all entertained. There was also a yummy chocolate fountain donated on the day by Activities Coordinator, Marie. We danced sang, and had a beautiful tea party in honour of Her Majesty's birthday.
Fun in the Sun
On this beautiful day, all the residents came out to the summer house, where we ate cake and drank tea and juice, watched the lambs and played eye spy. Everyone commented on what an enjoyable day it was!
