Activities at Tixover House Care Home
Our activities team are great at building the activities programme around the likes and interests of the people we care for. Ensuring that our social events offer fun and adventure is part of the ethos of our home; it’s important that those we support can enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat are always welcomed.
Caroline Geddes
Hello, my name is Caroline and I joined the team at Tixover House in 2023.
I am passionate about creating person-centred activities which ultimately enrich our residents' lives. My main aim is to bring happiness through the doorway daily; spreading smiles, laughter and love - I want to make a difference to the lives of those that we support.

Armchair Travel
Alan from Armchair Travel put on a presentation for us, and the topic was '1954'. We looked at videos from that era and listened to songs; we all found it very interesting and most could remember artists and celebrities from the period, and the news bulletins were also a great discussion point.
The Flowers of Youth
Whilst other residents were busy planting some lovely spring flowers outside the home, Eileen has been creating some beautiful indoor displays with beautiful yellow flowers.
Enjoying the Sunshine!
Ice cream and dancing to some lively tunes was the order of the day. On this beautiful, sunny day, there were smiles all round, as we had a fantastic afternoon with Marie the Activities Coordinator and Karina, our Hostess, on the patio.
