Activities at Trinity Manor Care Home

Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Being a motivator and influencer to the people around me has always been my passion, and also part of my profession. As an Activity Coordinator, my ultimate goal is to transfer my energy and spread my happiness.

Cliveden: The War Years - Virtual Talk

Recently, we virtually visited Cliveden House to enjoy an exciting talk about the War Years, kindly provided by the National Trust Talks Service.

The event told the story of what happened at Cliveden between 1914 and 1945; the development of the Canadian Red Cross Hospital, The Astor family called to war, the appeasement set and the legacy today.

Our residents were thrilled to learn how the grand country estate, well known for its exclusive parties and famous guests, became a lifeline to Allied troops injured during the fighting.

The talk was truly enjoyed by all.

Thank you Cliveden National Trust for this fantastic insight!

Celebrating Nurses!

We wanted to celebrate the AMAZING nurses out in the community who support our home!

In honour of Nurse's Day (marking the birthday of the wonderful Florence Nightingale ...), Home Services Advisor, Rebekah, and Activities Co-ordinator, Laura, ventured out and about to meet just some of these incredible people, armed with some delicious donuts!

To the fabulous teams at The Yeatman Hospital and The Grove Medical Centre , THANK YOU all for your continued support for Trinity Manor!

We hope you enjoyed your treats!

Card Making

Some of the residents here at Trinity Manor, love nothing more than a good get together, especially when they are getting 'arty & crafty'...

Getting their creative juices flowing, some decided to make Platinum Jubilee cards for the Queen and others, simple anniversary or birthday cards for their family & friends,

Whichever route they took, they definitely enjoyed their afternoon together and had some really lovely results.

Great job, ladies!

Celebrating 10!

Here at Trinity Manor we have been working incredibly hard to achieve high standards for those we care for.

That being said, we are now VERY pleased to announce that following some INCREDIBLE reviews on carehome.co.uk, that we have finally reached the ultimate goal...

A MAXIMUM SCORE OF 10!!!

Ever since we have been open, a broad selection of friends and families who have had first hand experience with us here at Trinity Manor, have very kindly left us some glowing reviews of their experiences on this independent website, who are very strict in vetting all the reviews they receive.

To reach an overall score of 10 has been a huge team effort and we cannot thank our wonderful staff enough.

We must have a truly incredible team here at Trinity Manor and for that we are very grateful!

Fudgalicious!

We saw the return of a lovely friend of the home recently, Laura Ford, who brought with her some delicious treats for the residents to sample...

Laura, who is locally known for her fudge making prowess and runs her own little company called Simply Fudge Sherborne, today ran a little sampling session to whet the resident's appetites for this yummy sweet treat!

Thank you Laura, for a really wonderful afternoon! Our residents really enjoyed your company... or may be it was just the fudge!

We hope to have you back here at Trinity Manor again very soon.

Forging New Friendships

Home Service Advisor, Rebekah, was busy making some new friends for the home recently, over at Yeovil College ...

Rebekah was shown around by the lovely, Amy, Hannah & Michelle, who were proud to show off some of the College's INCREDIBLE facilities.

From health & social care, health & beauty to hospitality, it really is an amazing place!

We are excited to be planning some future collaborations with the college and look forward to all the wonderful possibilities.

Thank you all for the tour!
