Activities at Trinity Manor Care Home

Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Ninesprings Day Trip

What a beautiful day out we had recently, as we explored the wildlife at Ninesprings country park near Yeovil, where we saw ducks as we wandered by the riverside and even spotted a turtle!

It was much enjoyed and we are definitely going to go back again.

Inter-home Bingo!

What a fabulous use of modern technology...

recently, residents were virtually joined by our friends over West Abbey Care Centre - Barchester Healthcare in Yeovil for a game of fabulous game of Bingo!

There were many looks of intense concentration as everyone dabbed away as numbers were called by the glamorous Bingo caller extraordinaire, Laura!

There were many winners of delicious chocolate as well as some gorgeous flowers.

Congratulations everyone!

Mad Hatters!

What a fun filled afternoon here recently at Trinity Manor, when both residents and staff donned some rather silly hats as they celebrated Wear a Hat Day!

There was a lot of laughter and giggling going on around the home as everyone tried on lots of different hats...

The lovely Barry also did his very best Tommy Cooper impersonation, 'Just like that!', much to everyone's amusement!

Residents gathered in our cafe for a Mad Hatter's Tea Party, where they also enjoyed delicious cream cake and a hat themed quiz!

What's your favourite style of hat?

My Name is Not Wigs!?

What a thoroughly interesting afternoon here at Trinity Manor recently, as residents joined in yet another live event hosted by Barchester Healthcare

Angela Cobbins started life as a hairdresser in the 60’s, eventually becoming a wig maker for theatrical performances. As well as this, she also had the opportunity to work for film and television, working alongside some very famous individuals!

Angela’s book, ‘My Name is Not Wigs!’, depicts her life and career working in West End theatres and beyond, giving a great look into the world of a wig maker – why not get a copy and have a read?

Thank you Angela, for a wonderful afternoon, which our residents have thoroughly enjoyed!

Red Nose Day Fun!

Last week residents got excited to join in with some of the fun Comic Relief activities going on around the home...

Whether it was simply donning a red nose and wig, making red nose bunting, baking a red velvet cake or doing some laps of the garden with their red nose and spoon, there was definitely much going on to keep everyone well entertained AND all for a very worthy cause.

Well done to everyone for your efforts!

Going Green!

Here at Trinity Manor residents recently became Irish for the day and had a wonderful time learning all about St. Patrick, as well as partaking in some Irish themed activities...

From Irish words games, making rainbow cake, colouring some rainbow shamrocks, to enjoying a spot of River Dance in our in-house cinema...

It's been a truly fun and busy day!
