Activities at Trinity Manor Care Home
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Life at Trinity Manor Care Home
We Love to Boogie!
With world dance day recently, here at Trinity Manor both staff and residents put on their dancing shoes got their 'boogie on!'.
With some toe-tapping music, it was very hard to resist getting into the spirit of things and willing got up for a boogie, making everyone feel fantastic as a result.
What a fantastic way to blow away the cobwebs, get some exercise and spread a lot of smiles and joy within our home!
Go on...get your wiggle on! We dare you!!!
Caffeine Pick-me-ups!
Trinity Manor were recently contacted by the incredible team over at The Staff Wellbeing Service, which is funded by the NHS, to support carers out in various homes, hospitals or other care settings throughout Dorset.
When we were asked if our staff would like to be treated to a FREE coffee or hot chocolate as a little thank you for all their hard work during the past couple of years, we of course, said 'YES PLEASE!!!'.
Sure enough a couple of days later, the Trinity team were thrilled to receive some free refreshments as well as information about the amazing service that they provide to support the mental health of care staff.
THANK YOU for the the little 'pick-me-up'! Suffice to say, it was VERY well received by all here at Trinity Manor and we look forward to working with you in future!
Dementia Action Week
Did you know that from 16th - 22nd May is Dementia Action Week?
Each year the Alzheimer's Society set aside a special week to encourage people to 'act on dementia'.
Whether it's seeking advice or help for yourself or a loved one, or just gaining some understanding about this horrible disease which can affect so many.
One thing's for sure, once you understand what you're dealing with, things do get a little easier... So act now!
Here at Trinity Manor, we have an amazing bunch of Dementia Champions, who are here to help and support you. Some of whom have very personal experiences with dementia, so truly understand.
Should you need any help, support or guidance about dementia, then they are here to help.
Cliveden: The War Years - Virtual Talk
Recently, we virtually visited Cliveden House to enjoy an exciting talk about the War Years, kindly provided by the National Trust Talks Service.
The event told the story of what happened at Cliveden between 1914 and 1945; the development of the Canadian Red Cross Hospital, The Astor family called to war, the appeasement set and the legacy today.
Our residents were thrilled to learn how the grand country estate, well known for its exclusive parties and famous guests, became a lifeline to Allied troops injured during the fighting.
The talk was truly enjoyed by all.
Thank you Cliveden National Trust for this fantastic insight!
Celebrating Nurses!
We wanted to celebrate the AMAZING nurses out in the community who support our home!
In honour of Nurse's Day (marking the birthday of the wonderful Florence Nightingale ...), Home Services Advisor, Rebekah, and Activities Co-ordinator, Laura, ventured out and about to meet just some of these incredible people, armed with some delicious donuts!
To the fabulous teams at The Yeatman Hospital and The Grove Medical Centre , THANK YOU all for your continued support for Trinity Manor!
We hope you enjoyed your treats!
Card Making
Some of the residents here at Trinity Manor, love nothing more than a good get together, especially when they are getting 'arty & crafty'...
Getting their creative juices flowing, some decided to make Platinum Jubilee cards for the Queen and others, simple anniversary or birthday cards for their family & friends,
Whichever route they took, they definitely enjoyed their afternoon together and had some really lovely results.
Great job, ladies!
